MK Group welcomes and supports measures that will enable the Serbian economy to more easily overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus pandemic. Aware of the difficult situation in the domestic economy, MK Group, together with its member companies, made a decision not to use the given opportunities arising from the regulations adopted by the Government of Republica Serbia. In this way, the budget of the Republic of Serbia will have an additional 5 million eur at its disposal.
By means of this, we would like to express our solidarity and to provide our support to faster recovery of our economy. We also hope that other large corporations, which are in position to do so, will act in a similar manner. With this waiver, we will provide more financial space for the survival of those legal entities which are unable to cope with this emergency situation on their own.
As a socially responsible company, MK Group has been actively involved in the fight against the COVID-19 virus ever since the outbreak of the pandemic. Let us remind you that Miodrag Kostić, President of MK Group, has put the accomodation capacities of the hotel in Novi Sad to use of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia “Dr Milan Jovanović Batut”, and the company has donated financial means and products for the purchase of medical equipment and humanitarian packages and so far, the company has allocated 43 million dinars for this purpose.
