Zhejiang Windey Co. LTD has been chosen as the preferred supplier of wind turbines for the Košava Phase II, Kula 2 and Ram wind farm projects, jointly implemented by the companies Fintel Energija and MK Group, as well as for the Kula 3 and Kula 4 projects carried out by Fintel Energija. The contract includes the procurement of 28 wind turbines with a total capacity of 110 MW, as well as a ten-year service and maintenance contract, whereby the implementation of these five new green energy projects on the territory of Serbia have started.

„A significant step in the construction of wind farms is the conclusion of a contract with the company Windey, a global leader with the most modern solutions when it comes to wind energy. With these new projects, we further increase the value of our portfolio and continue to develop RES infrastructure in Serbia,” said Tiziano Govannetti, CEO of Fintel Energija a.d.

„Renewable energy projects developed by MK Group have a total capacity of 1GW. The conclusion of this contract is another confirmation that our company sees RES in the long term as a strategically important area in which it will continue to invest. In this way, we simultaneously provide strong support to the Government of the Republic of Serbia in achieving the goal of increasing the share of energy from renewable sources to at least 40 percent by 2040,” said Mihailo Janković, Direktor General of MK Group.

„We are honored to be chosen as the preferred supplier for the Košava Phase II, Ram, Tower 2, 3 and 4 wind farms, and to be trusted by Fintel Energija and MK Group. We are excited to be involved in these Serbian projects that lead the wind industry in the Balkans, and we want to position ourselves as a leader in the region when it comes to wind turbines. We are committed to contributing to Serbia’s clean energy goal in close partnership with Fintel Energija,” said Kai Wang, Regional Director of Zhejiang Windey’s Overseas Business Division.

For a decade, Fintel Energija and MK Group have been among the leading companies in the production of electricity from wind in the Balkans. The partnership has so far built three wind farms in Vojvodina: Kula, La Piccolina and Košava with a total capacity of nearly 90MW, in which 150 million euros have been invested.
