On the last day of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum, representatives of MK Group and the Miodrag Kostić Endowment spoke about the essence of contributing to youth, education, and the development of society as a whole.
Jovan Purar, Director of the Legal and General Affairs Sector at MK Group, participated in the panel titled “Who is More Important to You than Me,” where he emphasized the importance of investing in the community.
“MK Group has donated over 50 million euros for social responsibility initiatives to date. Our company is not only profit-oriented but also focused on contributing to the community because we operate in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Slovenia. Our employees recognize the importance of working for a company that cares about human needs, and their attitudes and feelings are particularly important to us,” stated Jovan Purar.
Nemanja Đorđević, Manager of the Miodrag Kostić Endowment, spoke at the panel titled “Philanthropy in Serbia,” highlighting that the Palace of Science is a gift to society worth 25 million euros and that this act has restored the tradition of philanthropy in our country.
“Miodrag Kostić’s idea was to create an institution that would not only provide answers to questions about what science and researchers are engaged in but also what the future of science, innovation, and education could be. At the core of the philanthropic endeavor of establishing the Miodrag Kostić Endowment is the desire to enhance the role and contribution of youth in education. The Palace of Science serves as a model and inspiration for others to leave something as a gift to Serbia and Serbian society,” conveyed Nemanja Đorđević.
Miodrag Kostić, the founder of MK Group, will be remembered for his life and business philosophy, which centers on knowledge as the greatest value, and the company will continue to implement socially responsible activities aimed at children and youth in the future.
