Investment of 50 million euros, European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is investing in the purchase of a minority share holding company Agri Europe, the largest manufacturer and distributor of agricultural products in Serbia and Ukraine.
Additional capital will thus be collected and will serve to finance new investments of Agri Europe, which besides MK Group includes Carnex, Sunoko and Agro Invest Ukraine.
The fact that the EBRD becomes shareholder of MK company, is success which exceeds the Serbian and regional frameworks. This is a significant step forward for Agri Europe, and Serbia, and represents a significant direct foreign investment. Additional funds that will be raised by this method will serve to finance the development of new investment, and will be oriented towards reducing production costs, increasing energy efficiency and environmental protection.
