Belgrade, 12 January 2015 – Serbian Basketball Association has awarded the company MK Group, led by Miodrag Kostić, the original medal from the World Championship in Madrid for an outstanding contribution to the development of sport and support of our national basketball team. This medal was awarded to MK Group for enabling national basketball team preparations for the World Championship in Kopaonik.
“I’m glad that Kopaonik was the starting point of our basketball team on their way to win a silver medal at the World Championship. One of the qualities of MK Group is the successful identification of potential, often before others. We proved that quality once again by the support we have provided to our basketball players. MK Group and its members will continue to support sports and athletes in the future and I am sure that our players will make us proud again at the upcoming European Championship in Berlin, “said Miodrag Kostic, President of MK Group.
Beside MK Group, the original medal from the World Championship in Madrid has been awarded to the Olympic Committee of Serbia, Telekom Serbia, Komercijalna banka, Electric Power Industry of Serbia, Heba, Petroleum Industry of Serbia – NIS, Lasta and others.
Silver medal is another confirmation of the quality of activities implemented by MK Group and its members through providing support to athletes for years. Through continuous allocation of significant financial resources for CSR projects and participation in numerous humanitarian actions and donations, MK Group seeks to provide support to sports-oriented activities and individuals and strives to be a reliable partner in solving social problems of our community.
