During the second week of October, this race will bring together more than 2,000 sailboats, as well as 25,000 participants, who will sail across the Gulf of Trieste. Besides the sponsorship of the main race and the awards for the best sailors, this year, Hotel Kempinski Palace Portorož will be the main sponsor of the rally regatta Go to Barcolana from Slovenia, which will begin on Saturday, October 13.
Nikola Avram, Director of the group of hotels operating within MK Group, said that the decision to support Barcolana, the world’s biggest sailing regatta and the Slovenian rally regatta Go to Barcolana from Slovenia was not difficult. He added that the main goal was to ensure that this rally regatta starts from Portorož, and that may have been a more difficult task.
