The Sunal alcohol factory in Kovačica is an investment worth 40 million euros, and it will produce 33 million liters of alcohol annually. The construction of this factory will contribute to Serbia becoming a significant net exporter of alcohol for the first time. Located in Kovačica, the Sunal distillery will operate within the Sunoko company and it will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The Sunal factory will produce alcohol in three forms – for food, pharmaceutical use and bioethanol. Corn will be used as a raw material for production and there are plans to build a storage for this grain within the factory. The factory is expected to start operating in 2021.
