In order to fight hunger and to maximally respond to the needs of the community in which it operates, Carnex donated 7.6 tons of products to the Food Bank, with which it has been cooperating for years, and thus provided another 40,000 meals for the most vulnerable.

Together with this donation, in the last three years alone, Carnex has donated about 67 tons of products, worth about 280,000 euros, and thus provided at least one meal for about 400,000 people.

“Helping the community and supporting anti-food waste activities, as much as we can, are part of our mission to provide at least one safe meal for as many people as possible. Our partner in this is the Food Bank, which cooperates with more than 250 different organizations and social institutions throughout Serbia, and can logistically arrange for help to reach everyone who needs it,” the Company said.

As a socially responsible company, Carnex has been committed from the very beginning to preserving the environment and supporting activities to increase the quality of life of the community. At the local and national level, the company regularly helps with donations to health, but also to various cultural, educational and sports organizations, in order to create a better standard of living.

In addition to helping vulnerable community groups and other organizations, Carnex, a member of the MK Group, is very active in the field of health care and two years ago invested 70,000 euros to build a Caesarean Department in the Hospital in Vrbas.

Part of the company’s social responsibility is energy efficiency and environmental protection. Carnex is one of the first companies in general to recognize the importance of the wastewater problem and in 2012 invested more than 2.5 million euros in the construction of wastewater treatment systems. Today, completely purified water of appropriate quality is discharged into Delta I-64 of the Grand Bačka Canal.
