MK Group marked the successful completion of the works that were the subject of this year’s donations in Montenegro, and the event was attended by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić Stojanović and Luka Ilić, Director of the “Home of Pupils and Students Podgorica”. This year’s MK Group donation in the amount of 50,000 euros was joined by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation with its investment, thanks to which the “Blue Palace” student hall in Podgorica, the construction works have been completed, the bathrooms and floor surfaces in the rooms and the hall have been renovated, and the student rooms have been equipped with new furniture in addition to burnishing and plastering. MK Group also donated an additional 55,000 euros to the elementary school “Dušan Bojović” in Župa Nikšićka, which used the funds for the complete renovation of the gymnasium.
„It is my pleasure that we visited the renovated Student Hall “Blue Palace”. During the summer months, intensive works in the amount of over 200,000 euros were carried out and with our joint efforts we managed to create much better conditions for our students in the coming period. We owe MK Group a big thanks, not only on this donation to the student hall, but also on the donation to the elementary school in Župa Nikšićka, and I believe that we will continue our successful cooperation in the future,” said Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro.
„The works included a complete adaptation from the replacement of electrical and plumbing installations, plastering and painting of wall surfaces, replacement of floor surfaces, as well as complete renovation and furnishing of the bathroom. Also, the adaptation included the replacement of the entire furniture in the student rooms,” said Luka Ilić, Director of the ” Home of Pupils and Students Podgorica “.
Better conditions for learning will contribute to the development of young generations, and the special importance of investment in education was emphasized by Aleksandra Stojanović, Director of Corporate Affairs of MK Group.
„MK Group has been regionally known for years for its investment in youth and education. Our socially responsible program is based on the desire to provide young people with the best conditions for learning and advancement. This year alone, we allocated 350,000 euros for student halls in the Adria region, which means that close to 6,000 students in Belgrade, Podgorica, Ljubljana and Zagreb will enjoy new and better learning spaces from this school year,” pointed out Aleksandra Stojanović, Director of Corporate Affairs of the MK Group.
After the successful donations in Serbia and Montenegro, the MK Group company traditionally continues its philanthropic activities, and by the end of October, the works in student halls in Croatia and Slovenia will be completed.
