MK Group, a regional leader in agriculture, banking and tourism, has completed the process of buying 67% of the shares of Victoria Group, one of the largest agribusiness companies in Serbia. With the integration of Victoria Group member companies: Sojaprotein, Victoria Oil, Victoria Logistic, Luka Bačka Palanka and VZS Stočna hrana, MK Group has acquired the status of a majority owner, while the previous shareholders Mr. Milija Babović and Apsara Limited remain minority owners.
The Chief Financial Officer of MK Group Mr. Andrija Vuković pointed out that the broad experience, business stability and strategic orientation of MK Group towards the implementation of the latest trends in agriculture will contribute to the further strengthening and growth of Victoria Group. He did not hide his satisfaction that the company whose soy and sunflower products are exported to over 60 countries has become part of a successful company such as MK Group.
“I am proud of the management of MK Group and the energy they have invested in the complicated acquisition process. We are aware of the importance of the synergy of capacities and experience of MK Group and Victoria Group and we are looking forward to future business ventures. Serbian farmers will continue to have a reliable partner in us, ready to invest knowledge and funds, in order to ensure the placement of domestic products on world markets,” Andrija Vuković said.
Victoria Group’s CEO, Mr. Stefan Babović, emphasized that the integration of this company into the MK Group can only bring benefits to employees and the agricultural sector in Serbia, but also beyond.

I am extremely glad that the acquisition process has been completed and that in the coming period we will be able to concentrate on further improving business performance, with the great help of a regional leader such as MK Group, ” Babović said.
Victoria Group cooperates with over 300 agricultural cooperatives and 40,000 farmers, and its soybean and sunflower products can be found in over 60 countries around the world, of which as much as 80% goes to the European Union market. MK Group, with 35 years of business in agriculture, has grown into the largest vertically integrated company in the sector in Serbia and one of the largest in this part of Southeast Europe. It cultivates 20,000 hectares in the country and is also the largest exporter of crops in Serbia.
