The National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer, NURDOR, organized the “Solidarity Bazaar” on 27 and 28 May in Novi Sad, with the aim of collecting funds for the opening of the new Parents’ House in Belgrade. On this occasion, the 10th anniversary of the Parent’s House in Novi Sad, which is part of the Kostić Family Endowment, was marked.
At the opening of the Humanitarian Bazaar, Jolanda Korora, president of the board of NURDOR, spoke, and on that occasion thanked MK Group for its continuous support over the past decade and emphasized the importance of the partnership that the company fosters with NURDOR and the Institute for Children and Youth of Vojvodina.
„This significant anniversary also provides an opportunity to reflect on the long-term continuous support of the MK Group Company in the process of treating children suffering from malignant diseases. Through partnership and the common goal that all children have the right to the best living conditions and treatment, the Parents’ House has been fulfilling its mission for 10 years by providing support to children and parents who are facing important life struggles. Thanks to the donation of the Kostić family and the support of the Institute for Children and Youth of Vojvodina, our goal will remain to provide comprehensive help and support to children suffering from cancer and their families. I believe that with our joint efforts we will succeed in our intention to get another Parent’s House in Belgrade”, said Jolanda Korora, President of the Management Board of NURDOR.
„I would like to express many thanks to NURDOR for everything they do for children suffering from malignant diseases, as well as to the donor MK Group for making this wonderful space available together with NURDOR, which is of immense importance for children who are being treated and their families”, said the Head of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of the Institute for Health Care of Children and Youth of Vojvodina, Prof. Dr. Jovanka Kolarović.

„The former family house of the Kostić family, thanks to the idea of the President of MK Group, Mr. Miodrag Kostić, was given to the NURDOR association for life. We are proud that, as a company dedicated to family values, we have been supporting this humanitarian mission for 10 years, and we will continue to do so in the years ahead,” said Jovan Purar, Director of the Legal and General Affairs Sector and member of the MK Group Board of Directors.
The Parent’s House was founded in 2013 in Novi Sad and is the first house of this type in the territory of Vojvodina. Its work represents a significant form of support for families who come from the interior for treatment at the Institute for Children and Youth of Vojvodina. In the past 10 years, more than 140 families have stayed in the house in Novi Sad, and the next step is the opening of a new Parents’ House in Belgrade.
Thanks to the citizens of Novi Sad and friends of NURDOR who visited the Solidarity Bazaar last weekend, NURDOR managed to collect almost 400,000 dinars in donations for the new Parents’ House in Belgrade.
In the year when our Company celebrates 40 years of business oprations, the NURDOR Parents’ House in Novi Sad, which is the first house of this type in the territory of Vojvodina and is part of the Kostić Family Endowment, also celebrates its jubilee. For 10 years, the former family home of the Kostić family has been a significant form of support for families who come from the interior for treatment at the Institute for Children and Youth of Vojvodina. We will continue to support family values and this humane mission in the years ahead.
