The esteemed publication Diplomacy&Commerce recently presented MK Group with an award in the category of Best Humanitarian Efforts (Company). Luka Bjeković, Head of the MK Energy Division, accepted the award on behalf of the company at the October 9 award event in Zagreb.
“On behalf of MK Group, I would like to express our gratitude for this honour and our pride that it has come at this exact time, as we celebrate 40 years of business. I am delighted that the Adria region, where we operate, has taken notice of our socially conscious efforts. Last year, in Croatia, we presented a donation to the Maternity Ward of the Clinical Hospital Centre Sestre Milosrdnice in Zagreb, and this year, as part of our Family Support initiative, we made donations to more than 20 preschools in the region. We are oriented towards the future, and therefore, we will be carrying on with our family-friendly, children- and youth-centred socially conscious programs in the upcoming period as well,” Bjeković said.
This award is the latest in a string of achievements that demonstrate MK Group’s strategic dedication and engagement. During the year of the jubilee, the company pledged to donate a minimum of EUR 1 million annually to social responsibility programs.
