The conference “Serbia is turning towards economy – responsible together to overcome the crisis” was held on 8 July 2013 in Belgrade, organized by the EU Delegation in Serbia, Serbian Business Club “Privrednik”, Foreign Investors Council (FIC) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham).
As President of the Business Club “Privrednik”, and also as President of MK Group, Mr. Kostić stressed that Serbia has significant untapped potential in mineral resources and agriculture. Kostić said that Serbia in unused mineral wealth has 263 billion dollars. He specified that out of the 266 billion “proven reserves” is used only 3.7 billion dollars. President of MK Group, pointed out that Serbia, which has 4.5 million hectares of agricultural land will very soon be able to irrigate 500,000 hectares which would, as a highlighted , increase the value of agricultural production by 1.2 billion euros per year.
