Kopaonik Business Forum was held on 4-6 March and it gathered a large number of businessmen and representatives of political life in Serbia.
While taking part in a panel discussion on reindustrialization, Miodrag Kostic, President of MK Group, said that today investing in industry in Serbia has better prospects than investing in other sectors and added that in 2014 without serious investments, the industry will be hardly able to be started. While answering the question of what Serbia can learn from the Netherlands in agriculture, Mr. Kostić said that it is forgotten that this country has invested about $ 70 billion in infrastructure in order to achieve an annual export of 70 billion euros.
It is necessary to adopt a long-term plan for reindustrialization, at least for 10 years. The plan should not be able to be changed by any new government that comes to the power and strategic industries to be invested in are energetics, agriculture, infrastructure and IT sector, was jointly assessed by businessman on Kopanik Business Forum.
