MK Group’s Director of IT & Technology, Dejan Ćupac, participated in the InterConnect Executive Summit, held on 18 and 19 September in Belgrade, organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Along with speakers and visitors from all over the world, the Summit brought together management representatives of Serbian companies from different industries.
The Summit’s first day was devoted to the discussion of digital transformation, during which Mr Ćupac presented digitalization initiatives in MK Group’s agriculture sector. He emphasized the extensive activities of our company in the prior period in the areas of digitalization and precision agriculture with a view to boosting yields and streamlining the manufacturing process. He revealed details on projects introducing autopilot navigation, variable sowing and fertilization, meteorological stations, and other initiatives that combine sensor and information technology with the in-depth knowledge of our agronomists. Additionally, he underlined that MK Group consistently invests in the incorporation of innovations, automation, and robotization of processes and strives to keep up with global agricultural trends.
Following his presentation, Mr. Ćupac participated in a panel discussion on “Opportunities & Challenges in Digital Transformation” where he emphasized the necessity to train people to work on projects in this area while also urging the collaboration of the IT industry in providing solutions for the economy.
