The President of MK Group, Miodrag Kostić, the Deputy Mayor of Kraljevo, Milun Jovanović, and the Director of SOS Children’s Village Kraljevo, Vesna Mraković-Jokanović, attended the erection of the roof structure on a house in SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo. The house is intended for Children’s Village wards currently residing in a rented house in Kraljevo.
MK Group has, with the support of the municipality of Kraljevo, donated 200 thousand Euros earmarked for building a youth home in SOS Children’s Village. The home for youth in Kraljevo was founded in 2004 on the basis of a treaty between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the SOS Kinderdorf Internacional (International organization of SOS Children’s Villages). Up to date, SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo has welcomed more than 90 young adults and has seen three of its wards go off into the world as independent individuals. Wards of the Youth Community in the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo are persons between the ages of 15 and 18, 15 of them are currently residing in a rented house in Kraljevo.
– All children have an equal right to their basic needs; we at MK Group seek to enable them to exercise that right. We wish for this house to enable them to take carefree steps into the future and towards achieving their goals – said Miodrag Kostić the President of MK Group.
MK Group and the President of the company, Miodrag Kostić, continually strive to assist those in need and to provide support to the young by setting aside significant financial resources for humanitarian activities and education. In November of last year, led by their father’s example, Mr. Kostić’s heirs, his daughter Andjela and son Aleksandar, became official friends of the village and committed themselves to allocating funds from their pocket money and sending monthly aid to the residents of this youth facility in Kraljevo.
