Hotel Kempinski Palace Portorož was awarded the prestigious title of Best MICE Hotel in Slovenia 2022 by the World MICE Awards. This award comes after the title of Best Hotel in the Country 2022, which Kempinski Palace Portorož received for the sixth year in a row.
The goal of the World MICE Awards is to raise standards within the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) by awarding organizations that are leaders in these fields. The award was established at the initiative of the MICE sector with a mission to be a benchmark of excellence and an incentive for growth, innovation and best practices at the global level. The World MICE Awards is a sister event to the World Travel Awards which was launched in 1994 to promote excellence in travel and tourism.

Over the years, the Kempinski Palace Portorož Hotel has received numerous prestigious international recognitions and awards. For the sixth year in a row, it was named the leading hotel in Slovenia by the World Trade Awards. It is the winner of the Star Diamond Award 2019, as well as the Meetings star for the Best hotel for congresses and conferences in Slovenia, also several years in a row. In 2022, the luxury hotel restaurant “Sophia Restaurant” was recommended for the third time in a row by the Michelin Guide for its outstanding and creative cuisine. In addition, the restaurant received a score of 15/20 from the prestigious Gault&Millau Guide, which highlights its excellent service and sophisticated food.
