21 May, Novi Sad -Miodrag Kostic, President of MK Group, have participated in the conference “Negotiations with the EU – a chance for the development of agriculture in Serbia.”
Attending this conference the public had an oportunity to become more familiar with Chapter 11 – Agriculture and Rural Development , 12 – Food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary issues , 13- Fishery, the topics to be negotiating about in Brussels during the pre-accession negotiations with the European Union by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Protection of the Republic of Serbia. On this occasion, Mr. Kostic said: ” By implementing organized action Serbia could double or even could increase agricultural potentials by three times as well as to produce much more food than it actually needs“.
Apart from Mr. Kostić, the conference was attended by dr.Franz Fischler, the Austrian Minister of Agriculture 1989-1994 and Commissioner for Agriculture 1995-2004, prof.dr.Tanja Miščević , Head of the Serbian Negotiating Team for Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the EU, dr Erkhart Busek, President of „Senate of Austrian economy“ and Vice Chancellor of Austria 1991-1995, Johann Marihart, Managing Director of the Group AGRANA, Milan Prostran, agro economic analyst and Vojin Starcevic, President of Polimark Group.
