MK Commerce awarded by Novi Sad Fair

Novi Sad, May 16, 2018 – For several years in a row, MK Commerce has continued to prove to be the best ambassador of the Serbian agriculture at the most important agribusiness event in Central and Southeastern Europe – Novi Sad Agricultural Fair.

The companies Granexport and Flora which operate within MK Commerce were also awarded at Novi sad Agricultural Fair. Granexport’s three products – corn grain, polenta, corn flour were awarded with a large gold plaque for the premium quality of products based on cereals and flour, and Granexport is also the winner of the premium quality plaque and the range of corn mill products. The company Flora was awarded for the excellent quality of peas and corn.

“We strive to be the best ambassador of the Serbian economy in all the countries in the world, and the award we win year after year at one of the most important agricultural manifestations of the Western Balkans is an additional incentive, but also a sign of trust. We are proud that the quality of our products is recognized both in Serbia and beyond our country’s borders, said Nemanja Vuković, Director of MK Commerce and Director of agribusiness at the level of MK Group.

On the Wheat Growers’ Day, organized by the Association “Wheat of Serbia” in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the most successful companies in the production, processing and trade sector of cereals and oil seeds were awarded, and MK Commerce was declared the exporter of 2017. (Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimović opened this gathering and greeted over a hundred of the largest producers and exporters of cereals and oilseeds, as well as delegations of the FAO and EBRD, and stressed that the state recognizes and supports the results achieved by the wheat growers and that the state will try to open up the new markets and improve infrastructure to further improve the export of cereals and oilseeds).

The company MK Group, with its members MK Commerce and Agroglobe, accounts for as much as one-third of total exports, according to data from the Association “Wheat of Serbia”.
