04.01.2019.

“The decision to buy out a majority share of Portorož Airport is in line with the company’s strategic plans. The airport is one of the carriers of development, both of Portorož as all-inclusive tourist destination, as well as the entire tourism on the Slovenian coast. In order to achieve this goal, we will develop the strategy for further development of the airport”, said Nikola Avram, Director of MK Group’s hotel division.

In addition to capital investments in hotel accommodation capacities during 10 years of operation, MK Group invested more than 200 million eur in tourism development. Currently, there are 16 hotels in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia in majority or minority ownership. In the coming years, the company plans to double hotel capacities, which now number more than 2,600 rooms and thus to strengthen the leadership position in the region.
