After successfully donating to maternity hospitals in the entire Adriatic region last year, MK Group continues its regional social responsibility program “Family Support”. This year, funds in the amount of 600,000 euros will be earmarked for the improvement of conditions in nurseries and kindergartens in Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia.ž
As socially responsible business is the strategic commitment of the Company, continued investment and care for children, youth and family will be the focus in the year in which MK Group celebrates an important jubilee – 40 years of successful business. MK Group allocated 100,000 euros for kindergartens in Montenegro, renovating or equipping their spaces, with a focus on the municipalities in which it operates: Podgorica, Budva and the surrounding areas. On this occasion, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Education of the Government of Montenegro. The Minister, Miomir Vojinović, thanked the company for the donation and expressed contentment with the realization of this important project.
„We are grateful to MK Group, which directs its regional project “Family Support” to preschool institutions in Montenegro, to which it donates significant funds. Investing in children and young people and their education and upbringing is always a reliable investment. Socially responsible companies are well aware of this and we were pleased to discuss investing in Montenegrin preschool institutions with partners whose social mission deserves respect”, said Miomir Vojinović, Minister of Education of the Government of Montenegro.
For the Ministry of Education, this is a significant collaboration, because the donation from the MK Group Company will contribute to the improvement and creation of an even more favorable and stimulating environment for our children’s stay in kindergartens.
„I am happy with the fact that our socially responsible program “Family Support” will continue this year and that we will donate 600,000 euros to improve conditions in kindergartens in Montenegro and the region. Giving gifts to the youngest is the best way to start celebrating our anniversary, forty years of successful business. During all socially-responsible projects in 2023, we will allocate more than one million euros for various activities aimed at children, because by investing in them, we are celebrating the future. I hope other companies will follow our example”, said Aleksandra Stojanović, Director of Corporate Affairs of MK Group.
In all the communities where it operates, MK Group actively contributes to the improvement of the conditions in which children grow up, are educated and develop. The “Family Support” program has existed since 2017, when it was launched with the aim of financially rewarding MK Group employees who became parents, to later be expanded externally, through donations to institutions that address children and youth, as well as strengthening the family as a basic unit of society. MK Group is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, under the slogan “Celebrating the future.”
