Savudrija, October 2019 – MK Group has been the owner of Skipper Resort in Savudrija, Istria, covering over 200,000 m2 since 2017. This complex includes Kempinski Hotel Adriatic, 21 luxury villas, golf courses and apartments with a total area of over 15,000 m2. With this year’s investments of over €3 million in Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Croatia and the new investments of €2 million announced for the next year, the company MK Group confirms its clear intention to develop tourist destinations in which it operates and make them more attractive to the regional and European tourists.
“It is no secret that Istria has a great potential for tourism development. MK Group wishes to be an active partner in the development of this part of the region, not only of hotel deals, but also of the entire destination and make it more attractive to tourists. That’s why we’ve launched this new investment cycle, “said Kai Behrens, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Adriatik in Savudrija.
Mr. Behrens also pointed out that over the past year alone, more than three million eur had been invested in the renovation of this hotel and that the biggest works were the renovation of the hotel’s beach, Skipper Resort’s villas, the VIP beach and the restaurant section”. In the coming period, we expect additional investments of €2 million in Skipper Resort villas, as well as the furnishing and refurbishment of certain apartments. We are meeting the trends and demands of modern tourism and we want to make this part of the Adriatic coast the travellers first choice, not only for guests from the region, but also from other European and world countries”, added Kai Behrens.
