The Serbian company MK Group marked the completion of works in the Student Halls “Dr. Ante Starčević” in Zagreb. The donation in the amount of 100,000 euros was used for the renovation and equipping of the fitness hall and the gym in this student hall, which provides accommodation for 1,200 students. „We thank MK Group for this donation to the Student Center in Zagreb, as well as all previous donations to kindergartens throughout Croatia. When we thought about who to direct the funds to, in cooperation with MK Group we chose the student population, i.e., the renovation, furnishing and equipping of the fitness center for the needs of students”, said Stipe Mamić, State Secretary in the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia.
„We are glad that MK Group recognized the Student Center in Zagreb as a partner for the renovation of the fitness hall and gym in the Student Halls “Dr. Ante Starčević”. The donation contributed to the improvement of student standards, and also, students will be able to exercise better in the renovated fitness area”, said Mario Župan, the newly elected Director of the Student Center in Zagreb.
Neither the students nor the donors hid their satisfaction with the new exercise spaces.
“This year, we allocated a total of 350,000 euros for student halls in the Adria region. To the Student hall “Dr. Ante Starčević” we donated 100,000 euros and now students will be able to use the renovated gym and fitness hall. MK Group will continue to invest in education and support young talents in order to provide them with better conditions for learning and development,” said Jovan Purar, Director of Legal and General Affairs of MK Group.
