MK Group has been awarded this year’s special “Benefactor” award for the Palace of Science project. The awards were presented during the humanitarian festival BelgrAID, organized by the association My Serbia, which promotes philanthropy and community through art, music, and education.
The Miodrag Kostić Endowment and the Palace of Science represent the first center for research and popularization of science in Serbia and one of the largest in the region, which has been visited by over 60,000 people in its first two months. In addition to permanent and guest exhibitions, the Palace of Science houses 20 research centers that will provide our young scientists and talents with the best conditions to develop their careers in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) in their own country.
“The Miodrag Kostić Endowment and the Palace of Science represent a project for the future that will initiate a wave of technological innovations in the region. We are extremely proud of the recognition awarded to us for one of the most important projects to date, which has invested over 25 million euros. MK Group is regionally recognized as a socially responsible company committed to continuing investments in children, youth, and education in the future,” said Aleksandra Stojanović, director of the Palace of Science project and director of corporate affairs at MK Group.
This is the second recognition that My Serbia has awarded to MK Group, which previously received the “My Choice 2013” gold medal for socially responsible business in 2013.
