MK Mountain Resort – host a Mountain Resort Summit Central Europe – MoReSCE

The first Summit of ski resorts in Central Europe called Moresce was held from 27 to 29 June, on Kopaonik, with the mission to establish platform for sustainable economic development in the mountain resorts of the region of Central Europe. More than 130 delegates from 13 countries exchanged their knowledge and experience with the aim of better and faster development of the tourism industry.

The summit brought together representatives of the ski centers in Europe, manufacturers of equipment necessary for operation of ski resorts, planners, managers, investors, and representatives of the mountain rescue services in the region. Within six different panels held over two days, the discussion  covered topics such as exchange of best practices, infrastructure of ski resorts, new trends and ways of improving offer in ski centers of South East Europe.

The summit was attended by a great number of experts on the subject, such as Mr. Damjan Pintar – vice president of the Association of the ski centers in Europe, Mr. Paul Mathews, Mr. William S. Infante, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia, Ms. Sylvana Mestre, representative of the International Paralympic Committee, the Executive Director of the World Tourism Organization, Mr. Frederic Pierret, Mr. Goran Petković, State Secretary of Tourism of the Republic of Serbia, and many others.  In one one the panels, General Director of MK Mountain Resort, Mr. Nikola Avram, addressed the participants with a  notable presentation on the successful model for strategic development of MK Mountain Resort and destination of Kopaonik.

During the three-day summit, all the participants had the opportunity to take part in the bike race “Mountain Break, powered by Moresce,” but also to enjoy in all the amenities of Grand Hotel & Spa ****.

The first “Summit of resorts in Central Europe – Moresce” MoReSCE was organized by the Ski Resorts of Serbia, Centre for Tourism Research and Studies and Hotelier Association of Kopaonik.
